Description

Create cheerful pom-pom bee plant stakes to brighten up your garden and home. This delightful DIY project is perfect for all crafting levels and fosters creativity.

Ingredients

  • Yarn in cheerful colors (yellow, black, and white)
  • Scissors
  • A small piece of cardboard
  • Pipe cleaners
  • Craft glue
  • Wooden plant stakes
  • Optional: Felt or fabric scraps

Instructions

  1. Create the Pom-Poms: Start by cutting a piece of cardboard about 4 inches wide. Wrap your chosen yarn around the cardboard 50 times (or more for a fluffier pom-pom).
  2. Secure the Center: Carefully cut across the top of the yarn loop. Tie it around the center tightly.
  3. Shape the Pom-Pom: Trim the ends of the yarn to make your pom-pom even and fluff it up.
  4. Add the Bee Features: Use pipe cleaners to create and glue the antennae to the top of your pom-pom.
  5. Attach the Wings: If using felt or fabric, cut out small wings and glue them onto the back of the pom-pom.
  6. Secure to Plant Stakes: Glue the completed bee pom-pom to the top of a wooden plant stake and hold while the glue dries.
  7. Display and Enjoy: Place your cheerful pom-pom bees into potted plants or garden beds.

Notes

Feel free to substitute colors and materials based on what you have at home. This project encourages creativity.
