Description

Transform everyday plastic bottles into beautiful spiral wind spinners that dance gracefully in the breeze.

Ingredients

  • A clean plastic bottle (water or soda bottles work well)
  • Scissors (a pair that feels comfortable in hand)
  • Paint or colorful markers (to add vibrancy)
  • String or fishing line (for hanging)
  • A bead or small weight (optional for spinning)
  • A small cork or similar (for added stability)
  • A warm cup of tea or favorite beverage (optional but comforting)

Instructions

  1. Begin by taking your plastic bottle and rinsing it out thoroughly.
  2. Using your scissors, carefully cut just below the label.
  3. With the bottle bottom in hand, start to make cuts from the edge towards the center.
  4. Once you have cut all around the bottom, gently pull the strips outward to create spiral shapes.
  5. Now it’s time to decorate using your paint or markers.
  6. At the top, poke a small hole with your scissors or craft knife.
  7. If desired, tie a bead or small weight to the free end of the string.
  8. Once you finish, hang your beautiful creation in a spot that catches the wind.

Notes

Let your creativity flow and consider personalizing your spinners with unique designs and embellishments.
