Ingredients
- 1 cup of water
- 1 tablespoon of gelatin
- 1 tablespoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of essential oil (or more for a stronger scent)
- Food coloring (optional)
- Small glass jars or containers
- Heat-safe bowl
- Spoon for mixing
Instructions
- In a heat-safe bowl, combine 1 cup of water with 1 tablespoon of gelatin and 1 tablespoon of salt.
- Heat the bowl in the microwave for about 30-60 seconds, until warm but not boiling. Stir until dissolved.
- Add 1 teaspoon of your chosen essential oil to the mixture and stir well.
- If desired, add food coloring and stir until evenly distributed.
- Carefully pour the mixture into small glass jars.
- Let the gel cool at room temperature until solidified, which may take a few hours.
Notes
Experiment with different essential oils and container styles. For added flair, consider adding dried herbs or flowers.
