Description

A DIY project to create a frosted lighted beach scene bottle that brings warmth and nostalgia into your home.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 clear glass bottle (such as an old soda or wine bottle)
  • 1 cup fake snow or Epsom salt
  • 1 small LED string light with batteries
  • Assorted mini beach decorations (shells, sand, starfish)
  • Glue (preferably mod podge or clear craft glue)
  • Paintbrush

Instructions

  1. Clean the bottle thoroughly to remove any labels or residue.
  2. Apply a thin layer of glue to the outer surface of the bottle using your paintbrush.
  3. Sprinkle fake snow or Epsom salt over the glued areas. Ensure even coverage for a frosted look.
  4. Let dry according to the glue instructions—usually, about 1-2 hours.
  5. Arrange your beach decorations at the bottle’s bottom. Be creative; use tiny shells and bits of sand to replicate a beach.
  6. Carefully place the LED string lights inside the bottle. Adjust to ensure even light distribution.
  7. If desired, add another layer of glue to keep the decorations in place.
  8. Arrange the battery pack so it blends into the base or stands neatly at the back.

Notes

Feel free to swap materials, use colored glass paint, or adapt decorations for seasonal themes!
