Description
Create charming paper flowers using simple materials like coffee filters and wire. This calming DIY project offers a meditative crafting experience.
Ingredients
- Coffee filters (regular or large)
- Green floral wire
- Scissors
- Spray bottle with water
- Food coloring or watercolor paints (optional)
- A small container or vase
Instructions
- Start by taking a coffee filter. Hold it gently, noticing its texture.
- If you wish to add color, sprinkle a few drops of food coloring or lightly brush with watercolor paints over the filter and let it dry.
- Once dry, take three to four filters and stack them neatly.
- Fold the stacked filters in half, then again to help shape the petals.
- With your scissors, cut the top edges into a gentle curve, resembling flower petals.
- Unfold your filters to reveal the beautifully shaped petals.
- Take a length of floral wire, about 12-18 inches, and insert it through the center of your filters.
- Pull the wire through and twist it at the base to secure the petals.
- Shape the petals gently to reflect your style.
- For the stem, leave the wire long and repeat for additional flowers.
- Finally, arrange your flowers in a small container or vase and admire your creation.
