Description

Create charming paper flowers using simple materials like coffee filters and wire. This calming DIY project offers a meditative crafting experience.

Ingredients

  • Coffee filters (regular or large)
  • Green floral wire
  • Scissors
  • Spray bottle with water
  • Food coloring or watercolor paints (optional)
  • A small container or vase

Instructions

  1. Start by taking a coffee filter. Hold it gently, noticing its texture.
  2. If you wish to add color, sprinkle a few drops of food coloring or lightly brush with watercolor paints over the filter and let it dry.
  3. Once dry, take three to four filters and stack them neatly.
  4. Fold the stacked filters in half, then again to help shape the petals.
  5. With your scissors, cut the top edges into a gentle curve, resembling flower petals.
  6. Unfold your filters to reveal the beautifully shaped petals.
  7. Take a length of floral wire, about 12-18 inches, and insert it through the center of your filters.
  8. Pull the wire through and twist it at the base to secure the petals.
  9. Shape the petals gently to reflect your style.
  10. For the stem, leave the wire long and repeat for additional flowers.
  11. Finally, arrange your flowers in a small container or vase and admire your creation.

Notes
