Description

A simple family craft to create beautiful air-dry clay bowls together, perfect for cozy afternoons.

Ingredients

  • Air-dry clay
  • A rolling pin (or a smooth bottle)
  • A bowl (to use as a template)
  • A butter knife or palette knife
  • A smooth surface (like a table or countertop)
  • Water
  • Optional: Acrylic paint or markers
  • Optional: Sealant

Instructions

  1. Begin by taking a piece of air-dry clay and kneading it for a minute or two.
  2. Once it warms up, roll out the clay on a flat surface using your rolling pin.
  3. Place your bowl upside down on the rolled-out clay.
  4. Use your butter knife to carefully cut along the outline you’ve created.
  5. Gently drape the clay circle over the upside-down bowl.
  6. Smooth the edges with your fingers or a little water.
  7. Leave it to dry according to the instructions on your clay packaging.
  8. Once completely dry, add your personal touch using paint or markers.
  9. Finally, seal your bowl with a protective layer if needed.
