Description

Craft beautiful and colorful bioplastic suncatchers with simple materials, bringing light and joy into your space.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup of cornstarch
  • 1 cup of water
  • 2 tablespoons of vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
  • Food coloring or natural dyes
  • Wax paper or silicone baking mat
  • Rolling pin (optional)
  • Shape cutters or scissors


Instructions

  1. Combine the cornstarch and water in a saucepan.
  2. Stir gently over low heat, watching the mixture transform into a smooth paste.
  3. Add the vinegar and vegetable oil, continuing to stir.
  4. Remove from heat once it thickens, and let it cool slightly.
  5. Divide the cooled bioplastic into portions and add food coloring or natural dye.
  6. Roll out the colored bioplastic on wax paper.
  7. Cut out shapes using cutters or scissors.
  8. Peel the shapes away and let them dry completely.
  9. Hang your suncatchers in windows to enjoy the sunlight.
