Description

Create beautiful eco-friendly bioplastic suncatchers that brighten your space with gentle light and vibrant colors.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 tablespoon of cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon of corn syrup (optional)
  • Food coloring
  • A non-stick saucepan
  • A stirring spoon
  • Wax paper or a silicone mat
  • Cookie cutters or molds

Instructions

  1. Begin by pouring the water into the non-stick saucepan.
  2. Gradually add the cornstarch, stirring slowly.
  3. If using corn syrup, add it now and blend thoroughly over low heat.
  4. Once fully combined, remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.
  5. Divide the mixture into small bowls and add food coloring.
  6. On your wax paper or silicone mat, pour the colored mixtures into shapes.
  7. Allow the creations to cool completely.
  8. Once set, carefully peel the suncatchers from the wax paper.
  9. Finally, find the perfect spot to hang your suncatchers.

Notes

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Consider reshaping them by gently heating if needed.
