Description

A silky Italian dessert flavored with lavender and saffron, perfect for impressing guests.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 packet unflavored gelatin
  • 12 pinches saffron threads
  • 1 tablespoon dried lavender buds
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. Bloom the gelatin in 2 tablespoons of cold water for 5-10 minutes.
  2. In a saucepan, combine heavy cream, sugar, saffron threads, and lavender buds. Heat gently, without boiling, until sugar dissolves.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and bloomed gelatin until fully dissolved.
  4. Strain the mixture to remove saffron and lavender buds.
  5. Pour into cups or glasses and cool at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.

Notes

For best texture, use high-quality gelatin and measure accurately. Chill for longer for better flavor. Use a fine mesh sieve for a smooth finish.
