Description

Ingredients
- About 60 yards of worsted weight yarn, weight 4 medium, in cotton or a cotton-acrylic blend
- H-8 (5.0 mm) crochet hook
- Yarn needle

Instructions
- Make a slip knot and chain 29.
- For Row 1, make 1 double crochet (dc) in the fourth chain from the hook. Work 1 dc in each chain across.
- Turn your work. Chain 3, then make 1 dc in each stitch across, placing the last dc into the top of the previous row's turning chain. You will have 26 dc.
- Repeat Row 2 until you have 14 rows total.
- Lay the rectangle flat with the right side facing you. Fold the bottom edge upward so the lower section measures about 3.5 inches tall.
- Join the side seams with a yarn needle and the same yarn using small whip stitches.
- For the top edge, attach the yarn at one corner of the flap. Make 1 single crochet (sc) in each stitch across the flap edge.
- Chain 1 and work one more round of sc around the flap edge and down the short side edges if desired.
- Weave in the ends with the yarn needle, passing each tail through several stitches on the wrong side. Trim the extra yarn only after the tail feels secure.
