Instructions

Begin with a magic ring and work 6 single crochet (sc) into the ring.
Pull the yarn tail to close the center, place a stitch marker in the first stitch, and join each round with a slip stitch, unless noted.
For Round 2, work an increase in every stitch (2 sc in one stitch) to have 12 sc.
Round 3: work 1 sc, then 2 sc in the next stitch, repeating around for a total of 18 sc.
Round 4: repeat 2 sc (increase) around for 24 sc.
Rounds 5 through 8: work 1 sc in every stitch for 24 sc each round.
Round 9: repeat 2 sc, then decrease around for 18 sc.
Round 10: repeat 1 sc, decrease around for 12 sc.
Stuff the head firmly but gently, adding small pinches of polyester fiberfill.
Round 11: work a decrease in each pair of stitches for 6 sc. Fasten off, leaving a long tail, and pull the opening closed with the yarn needle.
