Description

Create vibrant and colorful suncatchers using recycled crayons, perfect for brightening up your home and engaging in a fun craft project.

Ingredients

  • Crayons (broken pieces)
  • Wax paper
  • Iron (with adult supervision)
  • Scissors
  • Star-shaped cookie cutter or template
  • Parchment paper
  • A flat surface or pressing cloth

Instructions

  1. Remove wrappers from the crayons and break them into small pieces (about half-inch).
  2. On a sheet of wax paper, arrange the crayon pieces in a star shape using various colors.
  3. Cover with parchment paper and set the iron to low heat. Gently press the iron on the parchment for a few seconds until crayons melt.
  4. Allow the melted crayon to cool completely, then cut out star shapes using a cookie cutter.
  5. Use tape or string to hang suncatchers in a sunny window.

Notes

Great for all ages; adult supervision is required when using the iron. Experiment with colors and shapes for unique suncatchers.
