Transform simple crayons into beautiful star suncatchers that catch the light and brighten your space.
Ingredients
- Crayons (preferably broken or old ones)
- Baking paper or parchment paper
- Cookie cutters (star shapes work beautifully)
- Oven-safe dish or baking tray (optional for shaping)
- Scissors (for cutting the baking paper)
- Baking sheet
- Oven (to melt the crayons)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 200°F (93°C).
- Peel the paper wrapping off the crayons.
- Break or cut the crayons into small pieces.
- Line your baking sheet with baking paper.
- Place the crayon pieces into the cookie cutters on the lined baking sheet.
- Gently place the baking sheet in the oven and watch as the colors melt.
- Once fully melted, remove the baking sheet and allow to cool for a few minutes.
- Carefully remove the suncatchers from the cookie cutters.
- Allow to cool completely before hanging in a window.
Notes
Store suncatchers in a cool, dry place, and you can remelt them to refresh colors.
