Description

A calming DIY tutorial to create beautiful Coffee Filter Roses, perfect for enhancing your space or gifting to loved ones.

Ingredients

  • White coffee filters
  • Food coloring or watercolors
  • Small bowl of water
  • Pipe cleaners (optional for stems)
  • Scissors
  • Paintbrush or droppers
  • A paper towel or surface protector

Instructions

  1. Prepare your workspace: Find a quiet spot, lay down paper towels to protect surfaces.
  2. Color your filters: Mix food coloring or watercolor in a bowl, use a brush or droppers to apply color.
  3. Allow to dry: Lay colored filters flat on the protected surface and let them dry completely.
  4. Shape the petals: Stack two to three filters, fold them in half then in half again.
  5. Cut the petal edges: Round the top edge of the folded filters and unfold them.
  6. Create the flower center: Shape a small strip of coffee filter to form the center.
  7. Assemble the rose: Place petal layers around the center, twisting the base to hold them in place.
  8. Add a stem: Wrap a pipe cleaner around the base if desired.
  9. Finish and display: Fluff the petals and find a spot for your creation.

Notes

Keep away from direct sunlight to preserve colors. If dust accumulates, gently shake or wipe the flowers.
