Instructions
- Prepare your workspace: Find a quiet spot, lay down paper towels to protect surfaces.
- Color your filters: Mix food coloring or watercolor in a bowl, use a brush or droppers to apply color.
- Allow to dry: Lay colored filters flat on the protected surface and let them dry completely.
- Shape the petals: Stack two to three filters, fold them in half then in half again.
- Cut the petal edges: Round the top edge of the folded filters and unfold them.
- Create the flower center: Shape a small strip of coffee filter to form the center.
- Assemble the rose: Place petal layers around the center, twisting the base to hold them in place.
- Add a stem: Wrap a pipe cleaner around the base if desired.
- Finish and display: Fluff the petals and find a spot for your creation.
