A mindful DIY project to create beautiful coffee filter flower roses that brings serenity and creativity into your space.
Ingredients
- Coffee filters (white or brown)
- Scissors
- Green floral wire
- Floral tape
- A cup of water (for misting)
- Optional: Food coloring or watercolors
Instructions
- Lay out your coffee filter on a flat surface.
- Begin folding the filter in half, then in half again to create a smaller circle.
- With scissors, cut a petal shape along the outer edge.
- Open your filter and observe your petal shape.
- Stack three to five petal-shaped filters on top of each other.
- Take your floral wire and insert it through the center of the stacked filters.
- Use floral tape to wrap the base of your petals around the wire.
- If you’d like to add color, mix food coloring with water and mist the finished filters.
- Pause at each step to enjoy the process.
- Once dry, admire your creation.
