Instructions
- Prepare Your Workspace: Set up a flat surface, laying down some paper towels to soak up any excess water and color.
- Color the Coffee Filters: Take a coffee filter and begin coloring with your markers. Use different colors for a layered effect.
- Spritz with Water: Hold the filter over the paper towels and spritz it lightly with water.
- Fold the Filter: Once colors settle, fold the coffee filter in half, then in half again.
- Create the Petals: Cut a rounded edge on the top of your folded filter to make the petals.
- Add a Stem: Use a pipe cleaner, poke it through the center of the filter, twisting it to hold the flower in place.
- Display Your Flowers: Arrange completed flowers in a vase or create a colorful bouquet.
Notes
Experiment with different types of markers, and consider adding glitter or sequins for extra sparkle. This project can also be done with kids.
