Ingredients
- Coffee filters
- Markers or watercolor paints
- A small paintbrush (optional)
- Glitter or sequins (optional)
- Pipe cleaners or string (for antennas)
- Scissors
- A small cup of water (if using watercolors)
Instructions
- Start by taking a coffee filter and smoothing it out on a flat surface.
- If you wish, fold the coffee filter in half to create a semicircle.
- Begin adding color to one side of the filter using markers.
- If using watercolors, dip your brush into the small cup of water before painting.
- Once finished adding color, carefully unfold the filter.
- Fold the filter again, this time in an accordion style.
- Pinch the center of the folded filter to form the body and secure it.
- Notice the shape that forms and adjust the wings for flight.
- Take a moment to step back and observe your colorful creation.
