Description

Transform ordinary coffee filters into delightful and colorful butterfly decorations through a simple and joyful crafting process.

Ingredients

  • Coffee filters (white or natural)
  • Markers or washable inks (bright colors)
  • Spray bottle with water (optional)
  • Pipe cleaners (for the butterfly antennae)
  • Glue (glue stick or craft glue)
  • Scissors (for shaping)
  • Small sequins or glitter (optional)

Instructions

  1. Start by laying out a coffee filter on your workspace. This will be your canvas.
  2. Take your markers and begin to color the filter, creating free-flowing patterns.
  3. If you’d like a watercolor effect, lightly mist the filter with water.
  4. Once satisfied with your design, let the filter dry completely.
  5. Once dry, pinch the center of the filter and gather it to form the butterfly shape.
  6. Cut a piece of pipe cleaner—about six inches long—and wrap it around the pinch.
  7. Optional: Glue on small sequins or sprinkle glitter for sparkle.
  8. Display your butterflies by hanging them or attaching them to a wall.

Notes

These butterflies can be used as home decorations, bookmarks, or gifts. Store them in a flat container to prevent damage.
