Ingredients
- 1 cup ground cinnamon
- 1 cup applesauce
- 1/4 cup white glue (PVA glue)
- Mixing bowl
- Rolling pin
- Cookie cutters (various shapes)
- Drinking straw (for hanging holes)
- Baking sheet
- Parchment paper
- String or ribbon (for hanging)
Instructions
- Prepare Your Workspace: Clear a clean, flat surface to work on and gather all your materials for easy access.
- Make the Dough: In a mixing bowl, combine ground cinnamon, applesauce, and white glue. Mix thoroughly until a dough forms.
- Roll Out the Dough: Lightly sprinkle cinnamon on your surface to prevent sticking. Roll out dough to about 1/4 inch thick.
- Cut Out Shapes: Use cookie cutters to cut your desired shapes from the dough, removing excess dough around the shapes.
- Create Holes for Hanging: Use a straw to poke a hole at the top of each ornament for stringing later.
- Bake the Ornaments: Preheat oven to 200°F (93°C), line a baking sheet with parchment, place ornaments on it, and bake for about 2 hours, turning them halfway through.
- Cool and Decorate: Allow ornaments to cool completely before decorating.
Notes
