Description
Create stunning stained glass-like butterflies with tissue paper and wax paper to brighten up your home.
Ingredients
- Wax paper
- Colored tissue paper (various colors)
- Scissors
- Craft glue or mod podge
- Paintbrush (for glue)
- Optional: String or fishing line for hanging
Instructions
- Prepare Your Workspace: Lay down newspaper or a washable cloth to protect your surface and gather all materials.
- Cut the Wax Paper: Cut a piece of wax paper to about 10×10 inches.
- Create Butterfly Templates: Draw a butterfly shape on paper or print one out. Cut out the template.
- Cut Colored Tissue Paper: Tear or cut the colored tissue paper into small pieces.
- Arrange and Glue: Place the butterfly template under the wax paper. Apply glue on the wax paper and place tissue paper pieces over it.
- Seal and Dry: Apply another layer of glue over the tissue paper and allow to dry completely.
- Cut Out Butterflies: Cut around the butterfly shape with a small border of wax paper.
- Hang and Enjoy: Attach string for hanging and display in a sunny spot for maximum shimmer!
Notes
Experiment with different colors and shapes. Add glitter for extra sparkle. Use clear contact paper for durability.
