Description

Create beautiful and colorful paper plate sun catchers that brighten your space and uplift your mood, perfect for preschool summer crafts.

Ingredients

  • Paper plates
  • Transparent colored cellophane or tissue paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue or glue sticks
  • Markers or crayons (optional)
  • Hole punch (optional)
  • String or fishing line

Instructions

  1. Begin by taking a paper plate and placing it facing down.
  2. Using scissors, cut out the center of the plate, leaving a circular ring.
  3. Gather your colored cellophane or tissue paper and cut or tear it into smaller squares.
  4. Apply glue around the edge of the open ring.
  5. Place the colored pieces of paper on the glue, creating a mosaic of colors.
  6. Allow it to dry.
  7. Use a hole punch to make a hole at the top of the sun catcher if desired.
  8. Cut a piece of string or fishing line and thread it through the hole, tying a knot.
  9. Hang your sun catcher in a sunny window.

Notes

To ensure longevity, store sun catchers in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use.
