Description

A calming project to create beautiful blue suncatchers that capture light and add tranquility to your space.


Ingredients

  • Clear glass pieces (old windows or thrifted glass)
  • Blue tissue paper (various shades)
  • Mod Podge or similar adhesive
  • Paintbrush (soft bristles)
  • Scissors (sharp)
  • String or wire (for hanging)
  • Optional: decorative elements like beads or sequins

Instructions

  1. Prepare your workspace with a clean cloth or paper.
  2. Wash the clear glass pieces gently.
  3. Cut the blue tissue paper into various shapes and sizes.
  4. Apply a thin layer of Mod Podge to one side of the glass.
  5. Choose a piece of blue tissue paper and place it onto the glue.
  6. Continue adding layers with more glue and tissue paper.
  7. Apply a final layer of Mod Podge over the top and let it dry completely.
  8. Attach your string or wire to the top of the suncatcher.
  9. Hang your finished piece in a sunny spot.

Notes

Store completed suncatchers in a soft cloth to protect. Experiment with different colors and shapes for a personal touch.
