Description
A calming project to create beautiful blue suncatchers that capture light and add tranquility to your space.
Ingredients
- Clear glass pieces (old windows or thrifted glass)
- Blue tissue paper (various shades)
- Mod Podge or similar adhesive
- Paintbrush (soft bristles)
- Scissors (sharp)
- String or wire (for hanging)
- Optional: decorative elements like beads or sequins
Instructions
- Prepare your workspace with a clean cloth or paper.
- Wash the clear glass pieces gently.
- Cut the blue tissue paper into various shapes and sizes.
- Apply a thin layer of Mod Podge to one side of the glass.
- Choose a piece of blue tissue paper and place it onto the glue.
- Continue adding layers with more glue and tissue paper.
- Apply a final layer of Mod Podge over the top and let it dry completely.
- Attach your string or wire to the top of the suncatcher.
- Hang your finished piece in a sunny spot.
Notes
Store completed suncatchers in a soft cloth to protect. Experiment with different colors and shapes for a personal touch.
