Description

Create beautiful window art by melting blue crayons into vibrant suncatchers. This calming DIY project encourages mindfulness and creativity.

Ingredients

  • Blue crayons (different shades)
  • Wax paper or parchment paper
  • An iron (set to low)
  • A flat surface for melting
  • Scissors
  • Optional: a paper punch or scissors for shapes

Instructions

  1. Clear a flat surface to work on, ensuring it’s protected from any wax spills.
  2. Break the blue crayons into small pieces.
  3. Lay a piece of wax paper on your work surface.
  4. Arrange the crayon pieces on the wax paper to create a design.
  5. Place another sheet of wax paper on top of your crayon arrangement.
  6. Set your iron to a low setting and gently glide it over the top layer of wax paper.
  7. Once the crayons are melted, carefully lift the top layer of wax paper to reveal your artwork.
  8. Use scissors or a paper punch to cut your melted creation into shapes.
  9. Finally, hang your suncatchers in a bright window to enjoy the sunlight.

Notes

Experiment with different colors and shapes for unique designs. Keep suncatchers away from direct sunlight to maintain their vibrancy.
