Craft colorful suncatchers from bioplastic, bringing vibrant light and art into your home.

Ingredients

  • Bioplastic sheets
  • A cutting tool (scissors or craft knife)
  • Heat source (oven or hair dryer)
  • Molds for shaping (silicone molds)
  • Natural food coloring or plant dyes

  • Optional: embellishments like glitter or dried flowers

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to the temperature recommended for the bioplastic sheets.
  2. Using your cutting tool, cut the bioplastic sheets into your desired shapes.
  3. If using molds, place your cut shapes into them.
  4. Lightly warm the shapes with your heat source.
  5. Once warmed, remove them from the heat and press into molds.
  6. Add natural food coloring or plant dyes to create your desired colors.
  7. Once cooled, carefully remove the suncatchers from the molds.
  8. Use a small tool to create a hole at the top of each suncatcher.
  9. Thread your string or fishing line through the hole and tie a knot.
  10. Take a moment to admire your handiwork.

Notes

Gently wipe with a soft, damp cloth to clean. Keep away from direct heat sources.
