Description

A creative and safe way to make glowing pumpkin decorations using simple materials, perfect for Halloween and autumn gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 clean, empty glass jar
  • 1 cup baking soda
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Orange food coloring (or paint)
  • Small LED tealight
  • Paintbrush
  • Decorative elements (glitter, leaves, etc. optional)
  • Adhesive (optional, for securing decorations)

Instructions

  1. Start with a clean glass jar to ensure a clear glow. Remove any labels and wash thoroughly.
  2. In a bowl, mix 1 cup of baking soda with 1/2 cup of water. Add a few drops of orange food coloring until you reach your desired shade.
  3. Use a paintbrush to carefully paint the outside of the jar with your baking soda mixture. Make sure to apply an even coat for a beautiful finish.
  4. If desired, sprinkle glitter over the wet mixture for an extra sparkle. Allow the painted jar to dry completely.
  5. Once dry, place a small LED tealight inside the jar and turn it on to see your glowing pumpkin come to life!

Notes

Customize with different colors and decorations. Consider adding scents like pumpkin spice for extra autumn flair.
