Description

Create beautiful baking soda crystals through a simple and calming DIY project that connects you with nature and fosters mindfulness.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup of baking soda
  • 1 cup of water
  • A clear glass jar or bowl
  • A spoon for mixing
  • A heat source (like a microwave or stove)
  • Optional: food coloring

Instructions

  1. Begin by measuring one cup of baking soda and placing it in a clear glass jar or bowl.
  2. Heat one cup of water until it’s warm but not boiling.
  3. Slowly pour the warm water over the baking soda in the jar.
  4. Stir gently with a spoon until all the baking soda dissolves completely.
  5. Add food coloring if desired and swirl it into the mixture.
  6. Set the jar somewhere undisturbed for several hours or overnight.
  7. Return to the jar after a day to find crystal formations.
  8. Remove them and let them air dry on a paper towel.
  9. Admire the unique shapes and textures of your crystals.

Notes

Store crystals in a small, dry container with a lid to keep them dust-free. Handle with care as they are delicate.
