Description

Create stunning flowers from coffee filters as a calming and creative DIY project.

Ingredients

  • Coffee filters
  • Water-based markers (optional)
  • Scissors
  • Wire or pipe cleaners
  • Spray bottle (filled with water)
  • Cardboard or thick paper (optional)
  • Hot glue gun (optional)

Instructions

  1. Start by taking one coffee filter and flattening it gently.
  2. If you’d like to add color, grab your markers and doodle on the filter.
  3. Once satisfied with the colors, lightly spray the filter with water.
  4. After a moment, allow the filter to dry completely.
  5. Gather it at the center and pinch gently to create a ruffled effect.
  6. Take a pipe cleaner or wire and wrap it around the center.
  7. If you would like to add more petals, repeat steps with more filters.
  8. Once satisfied with your flower’s shape, apply a dot of hot glue at the base if using.
  9. Finally, step back to appreciate your masterpiece.

Notes

Store away from direct sunlight to keep colors vivid. Reuse by redecorating with fresh markers each season.
