Instructions
- Prepare your workspace by finding a flat, protected surface and gathering all materials.
- Cut the watercolor paper into bookmark-sized rectangles (typically 2” x 6”).
- Lightly sketch your design with a pencil on the watercolor paper.
- Squeeze out or activate your watercolor paints with water and experiment on a test paper.
- Wet your brush, pick up paint, and apply it to the bookmark, using wet-on-wet or wet-on-dry techniques.
- Once the base layer is dry, add details or outlines with a smaller brush or fineliner pens.
- Allow the bookmarks to dry completely and optionally add washi tape or ribbons for decoration.
