Description

Create charming Valentine’s lanterns that add warmth and love to your home. Perfect for all skill levels and customizable to reflect your unique style.

Ingredients

  • Empty glass jars (mason jars work great)
  • Tissue paper in various colors (red, pink, white)
  • Mod Podge or glue
  • Paintbrush
  • LED tea light candles or small candles
  • Scissors
  • Twine or ribbon (optional)
  • Decorative embellishments (optional)

Instructions

  1. Clean the glass jars thoroughly, removing any labels or residue. Dry completely.
  2. Cut the tissue paper into small squares or hearts using scissors.
  3. Using a paintbrush, apply a layer of Mod Podge or glue to a section of the jar.
  4. Place tissue squares on the glued area, pressing down. Overlap pieces for a layered effect.
  5. Continue applying glue and layering tissue until the jar is covered to your satisfaction. Seal with another layer of Mod Podge over the top.
  6. Insert an LED tea light or candle into the jar, ensuring it does not touch the tissue paper directly.
  7. Wrap twine or ribbon around the jar’s neck for a rustic touch. Add embellishments if desired.

Notes

Experiment with colors and shapes. Use these lanterns as centerpieces or gifts filled with personal notes.
