Description

Create charming Valentine lanterns to add a romantic touch to your celebrations with this easy DIY project.


Ingredients

  • Glass or plastic jars (such as mason jars)
  • Battery-operated tealight candles
  • Tissue paper in various colors (red, pink, white)
  • Mod Podge or glue
  • Paintbrush
  • Scissors
  • Ribbon or twine (for decoration)
  • Optional: Heart-shaped stencils or stickers

Instructions

  1. Prepare Your Workspace: Arrange your materials on a clean, flat surface.
  2. Cut the Tissue Paper: Cut the tissue paper into shapes or strips.
  3. Apply Glue: Brush Mod Podge or glue onto the outside of the jar.
  4. Add Tissue Paper: Place the cut tissue paper onto the glued areas and smooth out bubbles.
  5. Seal with Glue: Brush another layer of Mod Podge over the top and allow it to dry.
  6. Add the Tealight Candle: Insert a battery-operated tealight candle into the jar and turn it on.
  7. Finish with Decoration: Tie a ribbon or twine around the mouth of the jar for decoration.
