Description
Create stunning turquoise crystal eggshell geodes that are visually appealing and eco-friendly using simple materials.
Ingredients
- Clean eggshell halves
- White school glue or mod podge
- Turquoise food coloring or watercolor
- Epsom salt or sugar (for crystal effect)
- Small paintbrush
- Baking sheet
- Parchment paper
- Bowl for mixing
Instructions
- Carefully rinse the eggshells and let them dry completely. Place the dried eggshell halves on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix together 1 cup of hot water, ½ cup of Epsom salt or sugar, and a few drops of turquoise food coloring or watercolor. Stir until fully dissolved.
- Using a small paintbrush, coat the inside of the eggshell halves with white glue or mod podge.
- Pour the turquoise crystal solution into the glued eggshell halves.
- Allow the excess liquid to drip out and return to the bowl.
- Leave the filled eggshells in a safe, warm area for 24 hours to let the crystals form and dry.
- Once dried, carefully peel away any excess glue on the outside, if needed.
Notes
You can customize the colors and materials to create unique geodes. Use larger eggs for bigger geodes and add decorative stones for extra flair.
