Description

A refreshing drink combining turmeric and water, packed with health benefits, antioxidants, and delicious flavors.


Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder (or fresh turmeric root)
  • 1 liter of water
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)
  • 12 tablespoons honey or agave syrup (optional)
  • A pinch of black pepper (optional)
  • Fresh mint or basil leaves (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Boil 1 liter of water in a pot or kettle.
  2. Remove from heat and allow it to cool for a couple of minutes.
  3. Stir in 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder (or grated fresh turmeric root) into the water.
  4. Use a whisk or spoon to ensure the turmeric is fully dissolved.
  5. Add 1 tablespoon of lemon juice for a zesty kick.
  6. Mix in 1-2 tablespoons of honey or agave syrup for sweetness, if desired.
  7. Include a pinch of black pepper to enhance the absorption of curcumin.
  8. Allow the drink to cool to room temperature, then chill in the refrigerator.
  9. Serve over ice and garnish with fresh mint or basil leaves.
