Ingredients

- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder (or fresh turmeric root)
- 1 liter of water
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)
- 1–2 tablespoons honey or agave syrup (optional)

- Fresh mint or basil leaves (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- Boil 1 liter of water in a pot or kettle.
- Remove from heat and allow it to cool for a couple of minutes.
- Stir in 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder (or grated fresh turmeric root) into the water.
- Use a whisk or spoon to ensure the turmeric is fully dissolved.
- Add 1 tablespoon of lemon juice for a zesty kick.
- Mix in 1-2 tablespoons of honey or agave syrup for sweetness, if desired.
- Include a pinch of black pepper to enhance the absorption of curcumin.
- Allow the drink to cool to room temperature, then chill in the refrigerator.
- Serve over ice and garnish with fresh mint or basil leaves.
