- Clean, dry seashells
- 1/2 cup Borax powder
- 2 cups Water
- Heat-resistant container (like a glass jar)
- Stirring stick or spoon
- String (optional, for hanging)
- Food coloring (optional, for color)
Instructions
- Gather all your materials in a well-ventilated area and cover your workspace to protect from spills.
- Boil about 2 cups of water in a pot, then gradually add 1/2 cup of Borax powder, stirring continuously until it dissolves.
- Place your clean seashells in the heat-resistant container and pour the Borax solution over them until they are fully submerged. Add food coloring if desired.
- Set the container in a quiet area and wait 24-48 hours for the crystals to form.
- Once the crystals have formed, gently remove the seashells and let them dry on a paper towel. Optionally, tie a string to hang your creations.
Notes
