Craft vibrant ocean blue candy apples that are perfect for parties and family fun!
Ingredients

- 4 medium-sized apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Blue food coloring (gel or liquid)
- Lollipop sticks or wooden skewers
- Optional toppings: edible glitter, candy seashells, edible pearls
Instructions
- Wash and thoroughly dry the apples to remove any wax.
- Insert a lollipop stick into the top of each apple.
- In a medium saucepan, mix sugar, corn syrup, and water.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves, then stop stirring and let it boil until it reaches 300°F (hard crack stage).
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and blue food coloring until well combined.
- Hold the stick and dip each apple into the candy coating, swirling to cover completely.
- Allow excess candy to drip back into the pan before placing on parchment paper.
- While the coating is still warm, sprinkle with edible glitter or place candy toppings.
- Allow candy apples to cool until the coating hardens.
- Display on a decorative platter or serve individually.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to five days. Use a candy thermometer for accurate hardening.
