Ingredients

- 1 cup baking soda
- ¼ cup water
- Food coloring (various colors)
- Pipe cleaners (various colors)
- 1 cup white vinegar
- Bowl (for mixing)
- Muffin tin or silicone molds
- Baking sheet
- Parchment paper
- Spoon (for stirring)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine 1 cup of baking soda and ¼ cup of water. Stir until it forms a thick paste, then add food coloring.
- Bend pipe cleaners into geode shapes and dip them into the baking soda paste until well coated.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the coated shapes on the sheet or in silicone molds.
- In another bowl, mix 1 cup of white vinegar with food coloring and pour it over the coated shapes.
- Allow the setup to sit undisturbed for 24 hours for crystals to form.
- Once dried, carefully remove the geodes from molds or parchment paper.
Notes
Experiment with colors and shapes. Adding glitter can enhance sparkle, and using salt can change crystal textures.
