Description

Create vibrant and unique Easter eggs using a fun and easy DIY craft with the family.

Ingredients

  • White eggs (real or plastic)
  • Food coloring or natural dyes (beets, turmeric, etc.)
  • White vinegar
  • Water
  • Cups or bowls for dye
  • Spoons or tongs
  • Rubber gloves (optional)
  • Old newspapers or paper towels (for drying)

Instructions

  1. Gather all your materials to ensure that you have everything within reach.
  2. Boil real eggs for about 10 minutes to harden the shells; let cool completely.
  3. Mix food coloring or natural dyes with a teaspoon of white vinegar and about 1 cup of water in separate cups or bowls.
  4. Dip a spoon or tongs into the dye and carefully lower the egg into the liquid.
  5. Watch as the egg changes color; leave in dye for 5-10 minutes for deeper color or remove earlier for lighter shades.
  6. Remove the egg and place it on newspapers or paper towels to dry.
  7. Overlap different colors by re-dipping the egg in various dye bowls for a swirl effect.
  8. Keep turning the egg to blend colors softly.

Notes

Experiment with different dye combinations and use stickers for added designs.
