Delicious and festive Halloween sugar cookies decorated with vibrant colors and fun designs, perfect for any spooky celebration.
Ingredients

			- 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups white sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Assorted food coloring gels
- Sprinkles, edible eyeballs, and other decorations
Instructions
- Cream together the butter and sugar in a large bowl until fluffy and pale.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract, and mix until combined.
- Sift the flour, baking soda, and baking powder together, and gradually mix into the wet ingredients.
- Do not overmix the batter.
- Optionally split the dough and tint with food coloring.
- Chill the dough for 30 minutes or freeze for 10 minutes.
- Roll out the chilled dough to about 1/4 inch thick and cut with Halloween cookie cutters.
- Place on lined baking sheets and bake at 350°F for 8-9 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and let cool before decorating.
Notes
Chill the dough to prevent cookies from spreading too much during baking. Use gel food coloring for vibrant results.
