Ingredients

- 1 cup baking soda
- 1/2 cup citric acid
- 1/2 cup water
- Food coloring (various colors)
- Essential oils (optional, for scent)
- Silicone molds or ice cube trays
- Mixing bowl
- Measuring cups and spoons
- Baking sheet (for drying)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of baking soda with 1/2 cup of citric acid. Stir to ensure a uniform mixture.
- Add a few drops of food coloring and essential oils if desired.
- Slowly add 1/2 cup of water, stirring until reaching a wet sand-like consistency.
- Spoon the mixture into molds or trays, pressing firmly.
- Place on a baking sheet and let dry for 24 hours before removing the cubes.
- Drop the cubes in water to enjoy the fizzing effect!
Notes
For extra fun, experiment with different molds, colors, and scents. Store in an airtight container for longevity.
