Ingredients

- 1 cup baking soda
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup white vinegar
- Cookie cutters (various shapes)
- Wax paper
- Food coloring (optional)
- Bowl for mixing
- Small saucepan
- Spoon for stirring
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine the baking soda and water.
- Add the white vinegar slowly; expect bubbling and fizzing. Stir until well mixed.
- Lay out wax paper on a flat surface.
- Using cookie cutters, pour the mixture into the shapes, filling them generously.
- If using, drop food coloring into each shape.
- Allow the shapes to sit undisturbed for 24 hours or until completely dry.
- Once dry, gently remove the crystal shapes from the cookie cutters and dust off any excess baking soda.
Notes
Experiment with different cookie cutter shapes and add glitter for extra sparkle!
