Description

Create a mesmerizing snowstorm in a jar using simple household items, perfect for all ages.


Ingredients

  • Clear glass or plastic jar with a lid
  • Distilled water
  • Baby oil or mineral oil
  • White glitter or artificial snow
  • Liquid food coloring (optional)
  • Glycerin (optional, for slower snow fall)
  • Small container for mixing

Instructions

  1. Prepare the jar by cleaning it thoroughly and removing any labels.
  2. Mix the distilled water with a few drops of food coloring in a small container.
  3. Fill the jar about 1/4 full with the colored water.
  4. Slowly add the baby oil to the jar until just below the rim for a separation layer.
  5. Add a generous amount of glitter or artificial snow to the jar.
  6. Secure the lid tightly and tip the jar upside down to watch the snowstorm swirl!
