Description
Create charming snowman luminaries to add a festive touch to your winter décor. This project transforms simple glass jars into delightful lanterns that bring warmth and joy to chilly evenings.
Ingredients
- Glass jars (varying sizes)
- White acrylic paint or spray paint
- Paintbrush or spray nozzle
- Black construction paper (or felt for accessories)
- Orange construction paper (for carrot noses)
- Tea light candles (LED preferred for safety)
- Scissors
- Mod Podge or glue
- Optional: Glitter for added sparkle
Instructions
- Clean the jars to ensure they are free of labels and residues.
- Using a paintbrush or spray, coat the outside of the jar with white acrylic paint. Allow it to dry completely.
- Cut out eye and button shapes from black construction paper, and create triangular noses from orange paper.
- Once the paint is dry, adhere the eyes and buttons onto the jar with Mod Podge or glue.
- Cut out shapes from the black paper to create hats or scarves and attach them with glue.
- Place a tea light inside the jar. Ensure wick candles are safely positioned on a heat-resistant surface.
- Optionally, add fake snow or additional decorations around the luminary.
