Description

Create beautiful suncatchers using pressed flowers for a delightful and rewarding kitchen craft.

Ingredients

  • Fresh, flat flowers (e.g., pansies, daisies, and violets)
  • Clear resin or clear-drying glue
  • Clear food-safe plastic or glass suncatcher molds
  • Wax paper
  • Scissors
  • A stirring stick or craft stick
  • Optional: Glitter or colored flecks for added sparkle

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Flowers: Select fresh flowers that you wish to press and arrange them artistically.
  2. Press the Flowers: Place flowers between two sheets of wax paper and use a heavy book to flatten them for 24-48 hours.
  3. Mix the Resin: Following the instructions, mix your clear resin or glue thoroughly.
  4. Pour and Arrange: Pour a thin layer of resin into the molds and place your pressed flowers.
  5. Final Layer: Pour more resin on top to cover the flowers completely and let it cure for 24-48 hours.
  6. Finish the Suncatcher: Once cured, remove from the mold and hang with fishing line or ribbon.

Notes

Experiment with different flowers and mold shapes. Dried flowers can also be used for brighter colors.
