Description

Create eco-friendly scented clay fresheners to enhance your home fragrance while adding a touch of charm to your decor.

Ingredients

  • Air-dry clay (white or colored)
  • Essential oils (your choice, e.g., lavender, lemon)
  • Rolling pin
  • Cookie cutters (various shapes)
  • Straw or toothpick (for making holes)
  • Acrylic paint (optional, for decoration)
  • Paintbrush (if using paint)
  • Baking sheet (for drying)
  • Parchment paper (to prevent sticking)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your workspace by clearing a flat surface and covering it with parchment paper.
  2. Condition the clay by kneading it for a couple of minutes until it’s soft.
  3. Roll out the clay to about 1/4 inch thick using a rolling pin.
  4. Cut out shapes using cookie cutters and remove excess clay.
  5. Create holes at the top of each shape with a straw or toothpick.
  6. Add fragrance by dropping essential oils onto each shape and rubbing it in.
  7. Let them dry on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper for 24-48 hours.
  8. Optionally, paint or decorate your fresheners once dried.
  9. Hang them by threading string through the holes and enjoy your new home scents!

Notes

Customize your fresheners with different essential oil blends or food coloring.
