A fun and educational craft that combines simple household ingredients to create stretchy and squishy saltwater slime.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup white school glue
- 1 cup warm water
- ½ cup salt
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1–2 tsp food coloring (optional)
- ½ cup saline solution (contact lens solution)
- Mixing bowl
- Stirring utensil
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of white school glue with 1 cup of warm water and stir until fully blended.
- Gradually mix in ½ cup of salt into the glue and water mixture and stir until the salt dissolves.
- Add 1 tsp of baking soda and stir thoroughly.
- If desired, mix in food coloring to achieve your preferred color.
- Slowly add ½ cup of saline solution while stirring continuously until the mixture forms slime.
- Knead the slime with your hands for a few minutes until it’s not sticky. Adjust with more saline solution if necessary.
Notes
Consider adding essential oils or glitter for scented or decorative options. Store slime in an airtight container.
