Ingredients
- Table salt
- Baking soda
- Vinegar
- Food coloring (various colors)
- A small container or plastic cup
- Tray or baking sheet (to catch overflow)
- Plastic spoons or pipettes (for pouring)
Instructions
- Prepare the Volcano Base: Place the small container in the center of the tray and build a mound of salt around it to form a volcano shape.
- Add Baking Soda: Pour a few tablespoons of baking soda into the center of the salt mound and flatten it slightly.
- Color the Lava: Mix a few drops of food coloring with vinegar in a separate container.
- Erupt the Volcano: Pour the colored vinegar into the baking soda-filled container and watch the eruption occur!
- Clean Up and Repeat: Enjoy the eruption, take photos, clean up safely, and experiment with different colors for multiple eruptions.
