Description

Create a mesmerizing salt volcano that blends science and art with a colorful eruption!


Ingredients

Scale
  • Salt
  • 2 tablespoons of baking soda
  • Vinegar
  • Food coloring
  • A small container (like a plastic cup or bottle)
  • Tray (to catch overflow)
  • Optional: Dish soap (for added foam)

Instructions

  1. Choose a tray and place your small container in the center to catch spills. Fill the container with salt, leaving some space at the top.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix 2 tablespoons of baking soda with a few drops of dish soap (optional) and mix in food coloring until evenly colored.
  3. Slowly pour your baking soda mixture into the container filled with salt. Drizzle vinegar over the mixture and step back to watch the colorful eruption!
