Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of flour and 1 cup of salt. Gradually add 1 cup of water, stirring until a dough forms. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth and pliable.
- Preheat your oven to 200°F (93°C). Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/4-inch thickness. Use cookie cutters to create shapes, or mold freehand designs.
- Use a straw or skewer to poke a small hole at the top of each ornament for string.
- Place the ornaments on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 2-3 hours until completely hard and dry. Allow them to cool completely before decorating.
- Once cool, paint your ornaments with your chosen colors and designs. Let the paint dry completely.
- Thread string or ribbon through the holes and tie to create hanging ornaments.
