Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup salt
- 1 cup water
- Paint (optional)
- Paintbrush (optional)
- Sealant (optional)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of flour and 1 cup of salt. Stir well.
- Gradually add 1 cup of water to the dry mixture and stir until it begins to form a dough.
- Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth and pliable.
- Roll the dough to about 1/4 inch thickness on a floured surface.
- Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut out hearts and transfer them to a lined baking sheet.
- Make a small hole at the top of each heart using a skewer or straw.
- Preheat the oven to 250°F (120°C).
- Bake for 2-3 hours, or until hard and dry.
- Allow the ornaments to cool completely before handling.
- If desired, paint the cooled ornaments and let them dry. Apply a sealant for protection.
Notes
You can add food coloring, use different shapes, or include textured designs for unique ornaments.
