Description

Easy and fun salt dough ghost hands perfect for Halloween decorations. A great activity for families to bond while crafting spooky décor!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup salt
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Acrylic paints (white, black, and any colors you prefer)
  • Optional: Googly eyes, glitter, or additional decorations

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of flour and 1 cup of salt. Stir until well blended.
  2. Gradually add 2 cups of water and 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil into the mixture, stirring until it forms a dough.
  3. Transfer the dough to a clean surface and knead for about 5-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Take a portion of dough and shape it into a hand mold, flattening the palm and extending the fingers.
  5. Preheat your oven to 200°F (93°C) and bake the ghost hands for 2-3 hours or until hardened.
  6. Once cooled, use acrylic paint to decorate your ghost hands. Optional: Add googly eyes or glitter.

Notes

Store leftover dough in an airtight container for up to a week. Supervise children closely during baking and painting.
