Transform simple eggshells into dazzling red crystal geodes with this fun and educational craft project.
Ingredients

- Eggshells (cleaned and dried)
- 1 cup Epsom salt
- 1 cup water
- Red food coloring
- Small heatproof dish or bowl
- Spoon
- Decorative items (glitter, paint, etc. for customization)
Instructions
- Carefully crack raw eggs and separate the shells, rinsing them out thoroughly. Ensure the shells are completely dry.
- In your heatproof dish, combine 1 cup of Epsom salt with 1 cup of water. Stir until dissolved, then add a few drops of red food coloring and mix well.
- Pour the solution into the prepared eggshells, filling them about halfway, and place in a cool, dry place undisturbed.
- Allow the solution to sit for 24-48 hours for crystals to form.
- Once formed, gently remove the shells and decorate the outer edges as desired.
Notes
Experiment with different food coloring for multicolored geodes or add decorative textures with glitter and stones.
